
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions will be implied from the time that the client begins therapy.
Therapist Information
Therapist Nationality: Please be aware that your therapist is based in India. International clients should be mindful of potential cultural differences and time zone variations.
Therapist Qualifications: Your therapist holds B.A.(Hons) in Psychology, M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology.
Client Resources: Clients are encouraged to explore other resources available to them in addition to therapy, including support groups, educational materials, and crisis hotlines.
1. Confidentiality
Client-Therapist Confidentiality: All information shared during therapy sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent.
2. Exceptions to Confidentiality

Legal Requirements: Confidentiality may be breached if required by law (e.g., in cases of suspected abuse, imminent harm to self or others).

Court Orders: If a court orders the release of your records.

Consultation: The therapist may consult with colleagues or supervisors while maintaining your anonymity.

Recording Prohibition: To maintain confidentiality, neither the client nor the therapist is permitted to record any part of the therapy sessions without explicit mutual consent. Unauthorized recording will be considered a breach of this agreement and may result in the termination of therapy.
3. Therapy Process

Nature of Therapy: Therapy is a collaborative process aimed at improving your well-being. It requires active participation and commitment.

Frequency and Duration: Sessions are recommended at least once a week on an average but the final decision regarding this will be made by the therapist after assessing the client’s condition. The therapy session will last approximately 45 minutes each.

Mode of Delivery: Sessions will be conducted over audio call via normal calls or on any online platforms such as Whatsapp.

Goals and Outcomes: Therapy outcomes are not guaranteed. Progress depends on various factors, including client participation, specific issues addressed, and external circumstances.
4. Fees and Payment

Fee per Session: Rs.1500

Payment Method: Bank transfer or UPI
5. Cancellation Policy
-
No Cancellations: Cancellations of sessions are not possible once payment is made. Refund shall not be issued for the session not attended. Rescheduling or shifting of sessions is allowed.

Communication Between Sessions: Communication between sessions should be limited to scheduling or urgent matters. Non-urgent matters will be addressed in the next session.

Text Communication: Any concerns or issues communicated via text will only be addressed during therapy sessions. The therapist is not responsible for responding to or managing these concerns outside of scheduled sessions.

Emergency Contact: If you experience a crisis outside of sessions, contact emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room. The therapist is not available 24/7.
6. Rights and Responsibilities
Client Rights:

Right to Withdraw: You can withdraw from therapy at any time without penalty.

Right to Information: You have the right to ask questions about any aspect of the therapy process.

Right to Privacy: You have the right to privacy throughout the therapy process.
Client Responsibilities:

Active Participation: Engage actively in sessions and follow agreed-upon plans.

Honesty: Provide honest feedback and information to ensure effective therapy.

Respect: Maintain respect for the therapist's professional boundaries.

Legal Accountability: The therapist is not responsible for any actions you have taken, including harming others, vandalizing property, committing crimes, or taking your own life. You are solely responsible for your actions.

Abusive Behavior: The therapist reserves the right to abruptly terminate therapy if the client exhibits any form of abusive behavior towards the therapist or others.
7. Risks of Therapy

Emotional Discomfort: Therapy may involve discussing difficult topics, which can lead to emotional discomfort.

Changes in Relationships: Therapy may bring changes in your relationships with others as you grow and change.

No Guarantees: While therapy can be beneficial, outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
8. Termination of Therapy

Client-Initiated Termination: You may end therapy at any time. It is recommended to discuss termination with the therapist to ensure a smooth transition.

Therapist-Initiated Termination: The therapist may terminate therapy if it is determined that the therapeutic relationship is no longer effective, if the client does not adhere to agreed-upon responsibilities, or if the client exhibits abusive behavior.
9. Non-Diagnosis and Treatment Limitations

The therapist does not conduct clinical diagnosis requiring in-person evaluations or provide official documentation, including for court-ordered therapy or emotional support animal certification.

The therapist does not prescribe or recommend medications but may direct clients toward alternative solutions such as psychiatric treatment or relevant psychometric tests, in the client’s best interest.

Clients with diagnosable mental health conditions are informed that combining medication with therapy is strongly recommended to optimize their well-being.
10. Legal Liability

The psychologist bears no legal liability for the outcomes of the therapeutic process. While they will employ their professional skills and expertise, no specific results are guaranteed, and they are not legally responsible if the therapy does not produce the desired effects.

By agreeing to therapy, clients understand and accept the potential outcomes and risks, and agree not to pursue legal claims related to dissatisfaction.

Clients acknowledge that some distress or discomfort is a natural part of therapy and accept that the psychologist is not legally responsible for these experiences.

Clients agree not to make false, misleading, or defamatory statements about the therapist or services provided. The therapist may take legal action for any such statements that harm their reputation or practice, and reserves the right to terminate services without refund if defamation occurs.
